The Origin Story

I'm James. Most people call me Roach.

Story is the foundation of everything. The rest is built on top of it. 15+ years in comics - from the indie grind to platforms and new distribution - all rooted in that belief.

Broke into comics through empty shop signings, local cons, & multiple Kickstarter campaigns.

Had some IP published. Began hosting Comic Book Writers on Writing on YouTube — interviewing writers from across the industry.

Moved into the tech space to experiment with digital collectibles and new distribution models.

Co-founded a first digital collectible comic platform — generating ~$150K in revenue & ~$100K for creators through grants, events, & paid gigs.

Built & ran the in-house studio. Developed & distributed comics & art for brands. Engaged traditional publishers on digital collectible models.
