Use of Website

This website is intended to showcase creative work, provide free tools, and share information about Muse Ink and its projects.

Intellectual Property

All content on this site, including but not limited to artwork, characters, stories, logos, and designs, is owned by or licensed to Muse Ink and its collaborators.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or use any content without prior written permission.

Free Tools

We offer free tools on this site, including a comic script writing tool. You may use them for personal or commercial work, without an account and without payment.

Your work is yours. You keep all rights in anything you create with these tools. We claim no ownership of it and no license to it, for any purpose.

We never receive it. These tools run entirely inside your browser. What you write is stored on your own device and is never transmitted to us, our hosting providers, our affiliates, or anyone else. We do not receive, store, access, or review it, and we have no technical means of doing so. Nothing can be submitted to us through these tools, because there is nowhere for it to be submitted to.

No confidential relationship. Because your work is never transmitted to us, using these tools does not create any confidential, fiduciary, agency, partnership, or employment relationship between you and James E. Roche or Muse Ink, LLC., and does not constitute disclosure or submission of your work or your ideas to us.

Independent creation. We are a working creative studio. We continuously develop, commission, publish, and license original stories, characters, and artwork, and we receive ideas from many sources. Ideas, themes, premises, settings, and plots are frequently developed independently by different people at the same time, and general ideas are not protectable.

You acknowledge that we may now or in the future independently create, acquire, or publish work similar or identical to work you create using these tools, with no obligation, liability, compensation, or credit to you. You agree not to bring any claim against Muse Ink, James E. Roche, or our affiliates, collaborators, licensees, or successors arising from any such similarity, and you waive any such claim to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing here limits the rights you hold in your own work against any party, or gives us any right to copy it.

Backups are yours to keep. These tools store work in your browser's local storage, which is not durable, backed up, or under our control. You are responsible for backing up and exporting your own work. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss of work, however caused, including loss from browser or device settings, cache clearing, private browsing, device failure, or changes to or discontinuation of a tool.

As is. The tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind. We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any tool at any time, and we have no obligation to maintain or continue offering one.

Do not redistribute. You may not copy, mirror, re-host, resell, or distribute these tools, in whole or in part, or present them as your own. If you find a copy of one of our tools at any address other than ours — particularly one asking for a wallet connection, a login, a payment, or personal information — it is not ours, we are not responsible for it, and you should not use it. Our tools will never ask you for any of those things.
